  • Research and monitor the progress or outcome of legislative bills.

  • Track issues specific to clients.

  • Prepare statements, position papers, and testimony for clients to use when communicating with members of Congress.

  • Attend Senate committee hearings on behalf of clients where legislation of importance to the client is being considered.

  • Review House and Senate committee reports.

  • Provide briefing kits to assist clients with testifying before Congress.

  • Review legislation that is introduced and analyze the scope of impact to the client.

  • Monitor Congressional hearings and other legislative activities throughout the period of representation.

  • Draft press releases to call to attention successes and significant progress made with legislative issues.

  • Provide updates and prepare periodic status reports based on the nature of the issues.
