Leadership Positions
- Was appointed to a leadership position as Secretary of the Council on Federal Procurement of Architectural and Engineering Services.
Briefings
- Provided government affairs updates and briefings to delegates from member organizations at a joint government affairs committee meeting in Gaithersburg, Maryland.
Pilot Projects
- Began work on a pilot project with the North Carolina Society of Surveyors to work with FEMA to develop training and certification guidelines that allow private surveyors to issue single lot LOMAs with expedited review.
Work with Coalitions
- Assisted with the FEMA Flood Map Modernization program by working with a coalition of groups to push for implementation of a $300 million dollar grant in the VA-HUD appropriations bill.
- Began efforts on a nationwide grassroots coalition to establish relationships among surveying and mapping member organizations and members of Congress.
Participation in Workshops
- Attended a workshop at the National Academy of Science to discuss implementation issues concerning The National Map project.
Work with Elections
- Compiled a list of election results for each district for the House of Representatives and each state for the Senate and notified appropriate individuals of the effects of the elections.

- Prepared a year-end report that recaps the legislative bills that were researched, monitored, and advocated during the year.
